Translating Arabic to English — What to Expect

Going from Arabic to English means the hard work happens before translation: the tool first has to read connected, right-to-left Arabic letterforms correctly. Because the source language is declared up front, letters are transcribed in their proper contextual forms rather than guessed at. Watch numbers and dates in the result — Arabic documents often mix right-to-left text with left-to-right digits, and that boundary is where ordering errors appear. Arabic is also considerably more compact than English, so expect the English translation to run noticeably longer than the original.

How It Works

Drag and drop or click to select any image containing Arabic text — a photo, scan or screenshot.

2

Text is read as Arabic

The AI is told the source is Arabic, so it transcribes the text in its own script before translating.

3

The original Arabic and the English translation appear side by side. Copy either one.

Arabic to English — Frequently Asked Questions

Does it show the original Arabic as well as the translation?▼

Yes. You get two panels: the Arabic text exactly as extracted from the image, and the English translation beside it. That lets you check the extraction before trusting the translation.

Will it handle right-to-left layout correctly?▼

Arabic text is read right-to-left as expected. The place to double-check is any line mixing Arabic with numbers or Latin words, where the two directions meet and segments can occasionally be reordered.

Can it translate Arabic handwriting?▼

Only clear, well-separated handwriting, and accuracy drops considerably compared to print. Since translation builds on extraction, an imperfect reading produces a less reliable translation. Printed Arabic gives much better results.
