Translating English to Korean — What to Expect
Korean, like Japanese, grammatically encodes how formal the speaker is being, and the translation has to choose a level — normally the polite 요 or 습니다 style. That works for most contexts but is wrong for speech between close friends, and insufficiently deferential for formal business or writing addressed to someone senior. Korean also attaches particles that mark subject and object, so the output's sentence structure will look quite different from the English word order; that's correct, not an error.

English to Korean — Frequently Asked Questions
What politeness level is used?▼
Usually the polite 요 or 습니다 register, which fits most general contexts. Casual speech among friends and formal business Korean both require adjustment, since Korean marks formality through grammar.
Is the output in Hangul?▼
Yes, the translation is returned in Hangul characters, ready to paste into a document, message or design. It isn't romanised.
Why is the Korean word order so different?▼
Korean puts the verb at the end and uses particles to mark the subject and object, so the structure legitimately differs from English. A reordered sentence is expected behaviour rather than a translation fault.
