Translating English to Hindi — What to Expect

The Hindi output comes back in Devanagari rather than romanised Hinglish, which is what you want for documents and printing but means you'll need a font that supports Devanagari wherever you paste it — most modern systems do, but older design software sometimes renders boxes instead. Technical and business English vocabulary frequently has no settled Hindi equivalent, so expect the translation to keep some English terms in Devanagari transliteration; that mirrors how Hindi is actually written and is not an error.

How It Works

1

Upload the image

Drag and drop or click to select any image containing English text — a photo, scan or screenshot.

2

Text is read as English

The AI is told the source is English, so it transcribes the text in its own script before translating.

3

Get Hindi output

The original English and the Hindi translation appear side by side. Copy either one.

English to Hindi — Frequently Asked Questions

Is the output Devanagari or romanised Hinglish?▼

Devanagari script. That's the standard written form and what you need for documents or print. If you specifically want romanised Hindi, you'd need to transliterate the output afterwards.

Why do some English words stay in the Hindi output?▼

Many technical and business terms have no established Hindi equivalent and are normally written in Devanagari transliteration by Hindi speakers themselves. Keeping them reflects real usage rather than a failure to translate.

Why do I see boxes instead of Hindi text after pasting?▼

That's a missing font rather than a bad translation. The destination application lacks a Devanagari-capable font — switch to one such as Noto Sans Devanagari or Mangal and the text appears correctly.
